VIBRATIONAL SOUND THERAPY
Join us for a personalized 1-1 Vibrational Sound bowl garden. This unique treatment involves the practitioner placing Vibrating sound bowls onto the body of the client with a combination of acupuncture needles to induce a state of relaxation.
The combination of the sound and vibration hold the focus of the client, allowing one to break from normal cycles of thought to enter a deep restful relaxed state.
Vibration therapy synchronizes the brain wave frequencies with the singing bowls, triggering the thalamus to induce changes in brainwaves and allows one to enter the slower meditative Alpha and Theta wave ranges, guiding the focus of the patient inward spiritually and physically.

This treatment involves the combination of specific acupuncture points chosen by the practitioner to harmonize the spirit and thus cannot be combined with an acupuncture treatment with an alternative focus i.e. muscle pain. Although a benefit of the treatment is reduced chronic pain by increasing blood flow to major muscles using vibration therapy via the bowls, it is suggested to book an acupuncture only appointment if your focus is on a specific painful ailment.
Types of acupuncture points used in this treatment:
1. Window of Heaven:
Considered in Chinese classic texts to open a window to hope and to the light and illuminations of Heaven. This can create a window of opportunity to encourage changes in patterns of thought and behaviour, to let go of the chains of the the ego to begin to create a world of light within and around themselves. In addition, Window of Heaven Points are power points to remove blockages of energy circulation and have been found to increase circulation of Qi through:
- the Joints,
- Energy centers
- the Neck (often causing headaches, pain in neck/back and depression)
- Open circulation through the central axis for energy circulation in the body.

2. The Crown chakra:
The Mountain of Heaven is an energy center and it is especially concerned with spiritual development. Considered the main point through which the energies of Heaven enter the body and a main point through which energy circulates through and around the body. This is a place where the energy flow in the channel changes direction. These type of points have a great effect upon the energy of the body, especially to calm severe disturbance of energy. Symptoms may include:
hypertension, headaches, dizziness, tinnitus, restlessness, palpitations, insomnia, heavy headed, inability to think clearly, exhaustion, depression
Disturbance of the spirit can arise from a shock and may exhibit itself as:
fear, fearful anxiety, suspicion, paranoia, panic attacks, anxiety, nervous tension, depression, exhaustion, irrational behaviour, easily overexcited/tearful, feel vulnerable and hurt easily.

3. Point of the Sea of Qi and Marrow:
These two points constitute a regulatory gate to the energy flow between the neck and head and represent the Throat Energy Chakra (energy center) for concerns of speech and clear communication of ideas. In addition, they can be used for Heart disturbances of anxiety or fear. These points are helpful to remove obstructions to the balances flow of energy moving up the body to the head and brain. Due to the location, they are especially beneficial or those with neck stiffness, congested or heavy feeling of the head, headaches and depression.
